PPF
WHAT DOES PPF COST IN DURBAN?
Every car and every brief is different, so we quote each job properly rather than guess. Here is exactly what goes into the price of paint protection film, so you know what you are paying for before you ask.

THE HONEST ANSWER
IT DEPENDS ON FIVE THINGS.
You will see PPF prices online that look nothing alike, and that is because the job itself varies so much. Covering the leading edge of a bonnet and the mirrors is a very different job to wrapping an entire SUV in film.
The good news is that the price is not a mystery. It comes down to how much of the car you cover, the size and shape of the car, the condition of the paint underneath, the film finish you choose and any extras you add. Once you know those, you can choose the coverage that fits your budget.
PRICE FACTORS
WHAT SETS THE PRICE.
FACTOR
Coverage
Vehicle size and shape
Paint condition
Film finish
Extras
WHY IT MATTERS
The single biggest factor. High-wear areas cost the least, full front protection sits in the middle, and a full car costs the most because it uses far more film and labour.
A larger car needs more film. Deep curves, vents, sensors and complex bumpers take more time to fit cleanly, so they take more labour.
Film locks in whatever is underneath it. Swirls or marks need correcting first, and that preparation is part of the job.
Gloss film keeps your factory shine. Matte or satin film changes the finish to a soft, low sheen look.
Adding a ceramic coating over the film, or removing an old film or wrap before fitting, adds to the job.

COVERAGE OPTIONS
PICK THE LEVER THAT SUITS YOU.
Most of our Durban clients choose full front protection, because it covers the panels that take almost all of the stone chips. If you want to start smaller, high-wear areas are a budget friendly way in. If the car is new, prized or going to be kept for years, full car coverage protects every panel.
Not sure which level you need? Our full front vs full car guide walks through each option panel by panel.
WRAP CARS
AND WHAT ABOUT WRAP PRICING?
Vinyl wrap pricing works the same way. The size of the car, full or partial coverage, and the finish you choose (gloss, satin, matte, chrome or carbon) drive the price. Chrome and specialty finishes cost more than standard colours.
